As before, these blog posts (see links to the right of this page) are direct copies of an original ‘Word’ file which was lost long ago. I have recently found the printout of that file and am simply retyping. I used to keep journals such as this whilst on holiday – way back before we used (or even knew of) the blogging and the internet.
In this case, I had typed it up for others to read – perhaps I was already aware of a wider potential audience?
Nothing has been changed or missed as I retype these pages, other than some small word exchanges to make reading clearer, some clarifications (in brackets) and a unification of how times are addressed (24 hr). I have also taken advantage of modern blog writing techniques (such as adding URLs and footnotes from time to time) to embellish the reader’s understanding and interest. I often comment in footnotes, about changes that have occured over time.
This series of posts concerns a trip I made with my second wife Sharon and her daughter Betony, very early in our relationship.
